Research in practice teams - Social Care Wales webinar
Social Care Wales is excited to be hosting a series of webinars to highlight six social care research-practice partnerships. The projects have been funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) through the Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR) Programme, which has specific contributions from Health and Care Research Wales, the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) in Scotland and the HSC R&D Division, Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. The webinars will run between July and December 2025 and explore how the projects are building research capacity in adult social care. They are open to everyone but are targeted at senior leaders and managers working in social care settings across the four nations.
This webinar will highlight how projects are embedding research in practice teams within social care. Hear directly from project leads about:
- how research roles are being embedded within local authorities
- explore how these teams bridge the gap between research and practice
- lessons learned from co-production and scaling embedded approaches
- importance of developing learning by drawing on a range of experience and skill.
The session includes breakout discussions for collective reflection and peer exchange, ideal for anyone looking to strengthen research culture in their organisation.
This webinar is being run by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) if you have any questions, please contact them.
