The DEEP principles

What is Developing Evidence Enriched Practice (DEEP)? DEEP is a co-production approach to gathering, exploring, and using diverse types of evidence in learning and development using story and dialogue-based methods.

Gathering and using evidence in learning and development is widely promoted but difficult to achieve. Simplistic approaches to evidence-based practice that do not take account of context often fail. There are increasing calls for human-centred rather than process-driven approaches. The DEEP approach provides a human-centred approach that overcomes some of the challenges of simplistic evidence-based practice.

This session introduces people to the eight principles that underpin the DEEP approach to using evidence in learning and development. An understanding of these principles helps people to set the stage for gathering and using evidence. The principles also prepare people to use a range of DEEP methods that are shared in other sessions and on the DEEP course.

This event is being run by DEEP if you have any questions, please contact the event team.
