Research Manager - Health and Care Research Wales
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Research Manager.
This role will suit a self-motivated individual with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to think laterally and work with minimal day to day supervision.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the Service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder:
- will provide operational management support for national programmes of work.
- will develop strong working relationships with health and social care colleagues across academia, Welsh Government and clinical settings.
- will work with NHS R and D offices and the Delivery Staff to develop local engagement strategies and initiatives which will fit with current practice to incentivise health and social care professionals to become involved in research.
- will be responsible for identifying initiatives, capacity and resources across health and social care in Wales that can support research, ensuring that the Support and Delivery Centre co-ordinates the provision of complementary services and initiatives to increase health and social care research.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Band 7 £48,527 - £55,532 per annum pro rata
