Electronic site file management

Course outline: 

This course provides an introduction to the use and management of an electronic investigator site file.  It complements the “Managing Essential Documents in Research” course and is aimed at those research professionals and staff who are managing essential documents in an electronic format.

The course will describe:

  • The process of set up and management of an electronic site file.
  • Arranging access to electronic documentation for quality assurance personnel.
  • Archiving of electronic documentation.

Following the training, participants will: 

  • Understand the key principles of management of an electronic site file.
  • Be aware of quality assurance processes for storing documents in an electronic site file.
  • Identify the requirements for access to an electronic site file for quality assurance personnel.
  • Be aware of the archiving requirements for an electronic site file.
