Jeanette Wells
Assistant Director of Research & Development
Jeanette has worked in the NHS for 25 years. After completing management training to diploma level in 2000, she joined the Medical Directors Quality and Patient Safety team and led on a number of local and national initiatives. Jeanette returned to academic studies and achieved her Masters in the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice at Cardiff University in 2006.
In 2011, Jeanette joined the Research & Development team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB). In her time with the team she has established several research communities where research is embedded alongside routine care, accessed and developed a facility where research in ABUHB thrives, the Clinical Research and Innovation Centre, established the first Research Nurse Bank in Wales, bidded successfully for charitable funding to establish a research delivery team at Nevill Hall Hospital and been promoted to the post of Assistant Director for Research and Development.
Jeanette looks forward to working with senior colleagues to align research delivery in ABUHB with the Clinical Futures agenda. Jeanette is part of the Support and Delivery Operational Group, the All Wales Research & Development Finance Managers Meeting Support and Delivery Service Collaboration Group, CORD, the Change Management Board and the Support and Delivery Collaboration Group.
