New Born in Wales survey for parents of children aged 18 months to 2 and a half years

Researchers at the National Centre for Population Health and Wellbeing Research (NCPHWR), funded through Health and Care Research Wales have launched a new the Born in Wales study survey for parents who have a child between 18 months to 2-and-a-half-years old. The new questionnaire builds on the success of the first Born in Wales survey for expectant and new mums and dads.

The survey includes questions about parents and their children’s health and wellbeing. Other questions focus on ethnicity, employment status, and services in their local area. 

Professor Sinead Brophy, Director of the Centre for Population Health, shared her thoughts on the new survey:

The first years of a child’s life are fundamental in building the foundation for growth, health, wellbeing, social skills, and education attainment. This new survey will further add to our understanding of what can influence a child’s changing growth and development. The results from this survey will build on our growing evidence base that will inform policy and practice to help improve the lives of families growing up in Wales with long-term effects on future outcomes.

The questionnaire should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
