Help shape research culture in the NHS

Take part in this Health and Care Research Wales run workshop and have your say on how vital research can be embedded into NHS organisations to develop a strong research culture within the NHS in Wales.

We’d love to hear from members of the public who are passionate about research and who want to share their views on:

• How we can get more members of the public to help with research
• What you expect from NHS research
• How we can measure the success of this work

Why are we doing this work?

The NHS in Wales supports a wide range of research giving more patients access to new treatments and better health outcomes. To help develop a stronger research culture, Welsh Government are working to outline the role of NHS Wales in relation to research by developing a document called the Research & Development Framework. This work will be used by the NHS in Wales to help embed research into core healthcare services and shape how success is measured in the future.

The Framework is due to be launched by Welsh Government in March 2023 and will start being used by NHS organisations in Wales in October 2023.
