Biography
Kathrin Schalkamp has a BSc in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrueck where I specialised in mathematics, computer science, neuroinformatics, neurobiology, and neuropsychology. She obtained a MSc in the same field from the University of Tuebingen where she focussed on probabilistic and statistical machine learning and their application in healthcare.
She is currently doing her PhD in Bioinformatics at Cardiff University with Caleb Webber and Cynthia Sandor. Her project is on studying Parkinson’s disease in deeply phenotyped cohorts using data science and machine learning and involves topics like early diagnosis and progression modelling.
