Biography
Dr Jordan Evans is a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW), Cardiff.
He graduated in Medicine (MBBS), with a first-class BSc (Neuroscience), from Imperial College London in 2011.
Jordan is the research lead for the Paediatric Emergency Unit at UHW. His research interests include all things relating to the emergency care of ill and injured children with a particular interest in serious infections and sepsis. He has authored publications on bronchiolitis, orbital cellulitis, major trauma, COVID-19 and sepsis.
Jordan is the UHW site lead for PERUKI (Paediatric Emergency Research in the UK and Ireland) and a member of the Research Steering Committee.
He currently holds a Health and Care Research Wales Research Time Award (2023) and is supervised by Dr Tom Waterfield (Queen’s University Belfast).
