Help improve the detection of cancer

Cancer Research UK's (CRUK) is setting up a new steering group to help create an exciting new programme to unleash the power of data to improve detection of cancer and ways to involve different communities

CRUK wants to make sure the programme focuses on what people affected by cancer, as well as the public, want and need. This is why they would like to recruit a small Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Steering Group to advise the research team over the next year.

Anyone can do this role, provided that you are comfortable participating in online group meetings.

They're looking for:

  • People who have personal experience of cancer 
  • People with no personal experience of cancer   
  • People from a range of backgrounds across the UK including age, gender, ethnicity, education, and socioeconomic status
  • People with a range of levels of experience and knowledge of research and data.
  • No pre-existing knowledge is required.
