Research assistant - trainee grant writer - HDRUK
This is a trainee grant writer position within HDRUK Wales (Health Data Research UK). HDRUK are the UK’s national institute for health data science. They work with and unite the UK’s health data to enable discoveries that improve people’s lives. HDRUK works to improve health through improving medicines, the built environment, understanding complex disease (e.g. heart disease and cancer), linking trial data with electronic medical records, infection and immunity and much more.
This position is to work with clinicians, data scientists, health data informatics researchers, the public and researchers to help support the development of grant proposals which utilise and build on the linked data from HDRUK. Applicants will need to have some experience of contributing to grant writing, working to deadlines, collaborating with others and an understanding of research methods and design.
The postholder will be central within the HDRUK Wales team and be central to the grant writing process within the wider team from identifying research grant opportunities, helping to write winning proposals through to submission.
