Co-designing initiatives to bridge the gap between healthy ageing and life expectancy

Do you work with middle aged and older adults in social care or healthcare?

Researcher Zsofia Szekeres, from Cardiff Metropolitan University, is asking practitioners to take part in a collaborative project focused on healthy ageing. It aims to explore the experiences and challenges of people from diverse ethnic communities in Wales in staying socially connected and active as they age. Additionally, they aim to develop a practitioner-researcher network as part of this project, providing opportunities to learn from each other, connect, and collaborate on future funding applications

This project funded by the Wales Innovation Network and supported by researchers, social and public health professionals across Wales (Cardiff, Aberystwyth, and Bangor).

She would like to invite you to one or two workshops (depending on your availability) with other stakeholders from your area to discuss the local situation in Bangor at first. In these workshops, you will be discussing how agencies and individuals can work together to create conditions that foster social connectivity and physical activity for people from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

If you are interested in attending and taking part, please fill in short (2 min) form or email Zsofia.

If you would like further information email or call Zsofia.
