Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth (VPAG) Funded Imaging Project Lead
Health and Care Research Wales have an exciting opportunity for an Imaging Project Lead to support oversight of the Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth (VPAG) funded imaging task and finish group. The group will explore how VPAG can best address the limitations in this specialist area.
Applicants should be a radiologist/imaging professional or working in a senior management or operations role in a imaging service, with experience of supporting the delivery of commercial trials. They should have personal credibility and experience within the imaging setting to enable them to deliver all the tasks and responsibilities outlined.
Key responsibilities
- To refine the scope and associated project initiation document for the task and finish group and obtain approval from the Clinical Research Delivery Wales (CRDW) Board
- To undertake in-depth scoping of the challenges in imaging services for commercial R&D activities in Wales.
- To make recommendations for how VPAG pump priming might be used to overcome the challenges.
- To consider and make recommendations on any ‘One Wales’ solutions and how best to provide improvements which are far reaching across Wales to ensure equity of access for all Health Boards.
- To consult with appropriate stakeholders from across NHS Wales and wider to discuss improvement recommendations in relation to the scope of this project, assess impact and highlight potential barriers.
- To consider the role private and NHS imaging services have, to make an informed decision on which recommendations should be implemented and provide justification to the CRDW Board.
- To devise an implementation plan for improvements to imaging services for commercial R&D in Wales, with key milestones and performance indicators.
- To be available for expert advice and problem solving during the implementation phase.
