Research Costings Manager - Health and Care Research Wales

A unique and exciting fixed term opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Research Costings Manager.

This role will suit a self-motivated individual with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to think laterally and work with minimal day to day supervision.

The postholder will have a nominated base within the NHS and will have the ability to work remotely/flexibly. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The key duties as follows:

  • be responsible for the financial management of the commercial related income that is received by the Health and Care Research Wales Support and Delivery Centre by developing and implementing robust financial processes and transparent reporting.
  • support the Senior Funding, Finance and Contracts Manager by contributing to the wider NHS R&D finance and costings work programme which includes supporting the development, updating and implementation of national standardised NHS R&D finance and costings policies, facilitating cost recovery mechanisms for NHS research and supporting the implementation of income distribution models. 
Contract type: Fixed term / Secondment - 24 months
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Band 7 £46,840 - £53,602 per annum pro rata
