Are you or your partner planning where to give birth?

Help researchers understand what kind of information women and their partners want when deciding on a place to give birth.

Research and reviews of maternity services suggest many women are not given enough information about their options when planning where they give birth.   

Now, researchers are looking to speak to women who are either pregnant, currently planning pregnancy or have given birth within the last year, or their partners, to understand what they want to know and any gaps in information they are given about where to have their baby. 

What experience do I need to help?

You will need to be:

• Willing to share your views and experiences.
• Able to join an online meeting.
• Pregnant, currently planning pregnancy or have given birth within the last year (or a partner of the above).

What will I be asked to do?

• You will be asked to discuss your views and experiences planning a place to give birth. 

How long will I be needed for?

• You will be needed for a one-off meeting lasting one hour from 10:30 to 11:30 on 10 September. 

What are some of the benefits for me?

• Be part of a project that could potentially change the way information is given when planning where to give birth.
• Gain valuable experience working with researchers and other public members.
• Help make sure the public voice is heard.

What support is offered?

• Offer payment for time of £25.00 per hour (people can request less if they are in receipt of state benefits).
• Attendees will be contacted in advance and will be able to ask questions.
