Andrea’s main research interests and their application to real life include:
- Improving the clinical characterisation of mild and subjective cognitive impairment and emphasising the importance of individual differences and thus stratified health care and medicine.
- Characterisation of vascular cognitive Impairment and dementia.
- Using mobile & wearable technology to monitor mobility and balance and other functions in individuals living with dementia.
- The promotion of the use of ‘clinically-relevant and valid’ methodology in the study of dementia and related disorders.
- The study of sight and hearing using EEG and other brain imaging techniques, in healthy ageing, cognitive impairment, and various aetiologies of dementia.
- Sleep quality and anxiety their relationship to mild and subjective cognitive impairment
