Rare Diseases Research Network for Wales

Access to research in Wales for those impacted by rare diseases is limited due to reduced funding and limited principle investigator expertise. 

The Rare Diseases Research Network was launched in January 2025 to address these issues.

It will:

• Bring together students, academics and clinicians to collaborate on research grants
• Highlight opportunities to carry out research in Wales to industry partners
• Enable voices of service users to be brought into core research topics.
