Dr Claire O’Neill

Faculty webinar - Getting started with the Résumé for Research and Innovation (R4RI): Creating your narrative CV with Dr Claire O’Neill

In this webinar you will learn more about Résumé for Research and Innovation and provide hints and tips for creating your own narrative CV.

In 2023 the Health and Care Research Wales Faculty’s personal awards made use of the R4RI for the first time. R4RI or narrative CVs are considered to be more flexible and more inclusive. Their aim is to enable researchers to capture a wider range of evidence of their achievement, skills and experience than would normally be included on a CV.

Researchers are being asked to make the case for support for themselves and their research in a more qualitative way by focussing on four key domains:

  1. knowledge generation
  2. development of individuals and teams
  3. research community
  4. broader society

Dr O’Neill is a Health and Care Research Wales Faculty Research Development Advisor and a Senior Research Officer Research based at the Institute of Life Sciences 2, Swansea University. Claire has worked in a variety of research roles and has over 15 years post-doctoral research experience in health services research and trials. Claire’s research interests include trials and the use of qualitative data. Claire is currently providing input into a range of research projects within these areas.
