Dr Claire Kidgell

Faculty webinar - How the NIHR prioritises research: meeting the needs of evidence users with Dr Claire Kidgell

In this webinar, Dr Kidgell focussed on the way in which the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funds and supports research. Dr Kidgell looked at the differences between the researcher-led and commissioned calls and will describe how researchers have the opportunity to feed ideas and suggestions into the process of identifying topics for commissioned calls. Dr Kidgell also looked at the process of developing an NIHR application - What are NIHR looking for?

This webinar explored NIHR initiatives and priorities around EDI and research inclusion and discussed NIHR expectations about research that it funds being undertaken in under-served communities and in ways that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth.
