Adapting interventions to new contexts - training course
DECIPHer have developed a new short course on Adapting interventions to new contexts.
The aim of this one-day course, led by Professor Graham Moore and Dr Rhiannon Evans, is to provide participants with a working knowledge of debates, theory and methodological innovation in the adaptation of interventions for new contexts.
Teaching will focus on recent DECIPHer led MRC-NIHR funded methodological guidance on adaptating interventions to new contexts.

- When and why it might be more appropriate to adapt an existing intervention rather than developing a new one
- Key debates, concepts and principles in relation to intervention adaptation
- How to select existing interventions for new contexts and consider intervention-context fit
- How to plan for and undertake adaptations
- How to decide what type and extent of evaluation (and monitoring of implementation) is needed for adapted interventions
Who it’s for
Researchers, PhD students, practitioners and policy makers interested in the development and evaluation of complex interventions, specifically in public health.
No prior knowledge is assumed.
