Cancer Research UK Early Diagnosis Conference 2024

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) have opened registration for their sixth in-person biennial Early Diagnosis Conference. This year’s conference will bring together the cancer community in the UK, showcasing the latest early diagnosis evidence around the theme ‘Driving Evidence into Practice’.

As part of the programme of speakers and interactive sessions, research across the cancer diagnostic pathway will be highlighted, from screening and symptomatic presentation, right through to referral from primary care into secondary care, and diagnosis.

The conference will provide ample opportunity for collaboration and networking through a range of interactive workshops, as well as an evening dinner.

CRUK will also be welcoming abstract submissions for posters to be displayed at the conference, as well as oral presentations and case studies for workshops on the following themes:

  • Implementation and optimisation of screening
  • Supporting timely help-seeking presentation by the public
  • Optimising the patient referral journey from primary to secondary care
  • Improving pathways and service models to support timely cancer diagnosis
  • Translation of innovation - new diagnostic tests and tools supporting the earlier detection of cancer

Please note, if you wish to submit an abstract for consideration, you must be registered for the conference itself. You can indicate this on the abstract submission form.

More details on each of the themes can be found on the application form linked to above.

Deadline for applications: Wednesday 20 March.

This conference is being run by Cancer Research UK if you have any questions, please contact the event team.
