Clinical Academics in Training Conference

The Academy of Medical Sciences organises an annual conference for clinical academics in training – CATAC – which takes place in a different UK city every year

CATAC is a unique cross-disciplinary event designed to bring trainee clinical academics from a wide range of clinical disciplines and specialties together to present their work, network with one another and with senior researchers.

There will be three competitions held at CATAC 2024 for early career researchers in medicine and health currently working in the UK or Republic of Ireland (inclusive of clinical backgrounds in all disciplines and specialities):

  • Post-Doctoral Plenary Competition
  • Pre-Doctoral Plenary Competition
  • Poster Competitions

Applications for the event competitions are now open.

Applications will close at 12.00 noon on Monday 18 December 2023.

Although the competitions are for early career clinical academics, anyone is welcome to attend CATAC. Delegate event registration will open in 2024 and they would be delighted to see CATF members there.

This event is being run by the Academy of Medical Sciences if you have any questions, please contact the event team.
