Connecting child healthcare with economic services in Sweden

The Centre for Trials Research (CTR) would like to invite you to the next CTR Population Health and Social Care. 

The focus of this month's meeting will be ‘Connecting Child Healthcare with Economic Services in Sweden: Results from a pilot study’, with visiting PhD student, Nina Johannson, joining to discuss the following research on: 

Economic hardship can have adverse effects on child wellbeing, development, and health outcomes. Addressing this complex social determinant of health requires preventative action, including strengthening cross-sector collaboration. The Healthier Wealthier Families (HWF) model integrates economic hardship screening into child health services and refers families to financial counselling services. The primary objective of this pilot study was to assess the feasibility of a planned nationwide randomised controlled trial (RCT) of HWF in Sweden.
