Faculty webinar - How a Clinical Trials Unit can support the delivery of research projects with Dr Kym Carter

Dr Kym Carter will explain the role of clinical trials units and how they can help researchers conduct their studies. She will use the recently published USTEKID trial as an example of how the Swansea Trials Unit helped to secure National Institute of Health Research Efficiency and Mechanism Evaluation (NIHR EME) funding, set up and manage the trial and its databases, analysed the data and reported the findings.

Dr Kym Carter

Kym is a Senior Trial Manager at Swansea Trials Unit and specialises in managing Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs). She has worked in trial management for 16 years on trials including patients with conditions such as diabetes, colorectal cancer, dermatology, blunt trauma, COVID-19 and brain injury.
