Getting a Diagnosis of Dementia - Dementia Action Week 2022

Joining the Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research in May, is the Alzheimer’s Society, talking about the theme for Dementia Action Week 2022; DIAGNOSIS. They want to encourage people who might be living with undiagnosed dementia to come to Alzheimer’s Society for guidance and support. “We want to give people the information they need to empower them to take the right next step.”

They will also be talking with Join Dementia Research, it’s only through research that we can understand what causes dementia, develop effective treatments, improve care, and hopefully one day find a cure. One of the biggest challenges that researchers currently have is finding enough volunteers to take part in their studies. For progress to be made in dementia research more volunteers are needed, especially those with a diagnosis.
