Have a look at findings of the Social Workers in Schools (SWIS) Trial

Led by the Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE) in collaboration with the Centre for Trials Research at Cardiff University and Oxford University, the SWIS (Social Workers in Schools) trial evaluated the effectiveness of placing social workers physically in schools on the need for children’s social care services.

The trial compared social care outcomes between schools with and without an embedded social worker. The research also included a comprehensive implementation and process evaluation which explored how SWIS was implemented and the experiences of those involved, in addition to an economic evaluation.

This webinar will present and discuss the findings of the SWIS trial, hosted by CASCADE researchers David Westlake (lead investigator), Dr Verity Bennett and Dr Phil Smith.

This event is being run by CASCADE, for more information contact the team.
