Call for workshops proposals

HSR UK isalso welcoming submissions for highly interactive sessions with clear learning objectives for delegates based on an identified knowledge gap e.g. around a particular research methodology, an aspect of the lived experience of being a health services and social care researcher, or how research can contribute to policy or practice.

Session structures should follow a different format to research discussion sessions, with the majority of the session taken up with activities and very little time given to presentations. This year they will have a social care strand running through the programme. They particularly welcome proposals for sessions for this strand which focus on topics spanning the interface with social care and healthcare, e.g. working with community data sets, research ethics with vulnerable groups or participatory research methodologies.

Please contact the team by 31 January 2025 with an outline of the topic, structure and learning objectives of the workshop or learning and development session and why it is of interest to the health services and social care research community (max 400 words). The team will then be in touch to support development of the sessions.

This conference is organised by the HSR UK, contact the team with any queries.
