PRIORITY Project Citizens’ Jury events

The PRIORITY project commissioned by Wales’ Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Allied Health Professions Adviser and Director of Health and Care Research Wales, is developing an action plan to increase capacity and capability for doing and using research in the nursing, midwifery and 13 allied healthcare professions.

Co-production has been a key objective in the project delivery and this final phase of the PRIORITY project will follow a Citizens Jury approach to a series of workshops in November that will inform a final set of recommended actions. We are inviting nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in Wales to reflect on the project findings and to consider and recommend actions for inclusion in the plan.

Ensure your voice is heard

The Citizens’ Jury approach will:

  • provide you with an overview of the project findings to date
  • allow you to hear or recap on specific evidence of experiences from student, support worker and registered nurses, midwives and allied health professionals across Wales in relation to barriers and challenges and successes in research
  • enable you to consider recommendations and actions in light of these findings and evidence
  • help us to prioritise those actions for inclusion in the PRIORITY Project action plan

During this session you can listen to and challenge others' opinions to help formulate a research action plan in Wales. Many solutions have been identified but our community will need to agree which are the priority for the professions and which are meaningful for you in your practice.
