Public Genomics Café

Are you affected by a rare or genetic condition? Are you a member of the public interested in finding out more about genomics and health? The cafe will feature relaxed talks from guest speakers on:

  • Meet the Genomic Counsellor: find out about what they do and the work of the All Wales Medical Genomics Service Alys Kennedy, AWMGS
  • Measuring DNA Damage in Circulating Blood in Oesophageal Cancer Hamsa Naser, Swansea University
  • Mini-guts for Cancer Research Dr Alethea Tang, Swansea University
  • Update from SWAN (UK) Cymru Amanda Thomas, SWAN (UK) Cymru

The Café will be an informal opportunity to meet others and find out about new advances in the area of genomic medicine in Wales. It will also be a chance for people to come together, be supported by others in their communities and let us know how the Wales Gene Park can better support those affected by rare or genetic conditions.

Join the Wales Gene Park for a cuppa! All welcome - FREE to attend.

This meeting is run by Wales Gene Park if you have any questions please contact the team
