Research in practice teams

Social Care Wales is excited to be hosting a series of webinars to highlight six social care research-practice partnerships. The projects have been funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) through the Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR) Programme. The webinars will run between July and December 2025 and explore how the projects are building research capacity in adult social care. They are open to everyone but are targeted at senior leaders and managers working in social care settings across the four nations.

This webinar will present new findings on the impact and effectiveness of Research in Practice teams within social care. It will explore how these teams bridge the gap between research and practice, support evidence use, and enhance decision-making in frontline services.

Participants will hear key insights, real-world examples, and recommendations from the partnership for strengthening research-informed practice across the sector.
