Social Care Wales training series - ethics and evaluation
Join Social Care Wales for a practical and accessible event series designed to help you better understand and use evaluation in health and social care research. This training will help you use evaluation for learning, improvement and to better demonstrate the impact of your work.
Ethics and evaluation
Ethics are a vital part of evaluation, particularly in social care. This session will provide an introduction to key ethical principles and how to implement them in your evaluation practice. We will also provide valuable information on seeking external ethical review and will provide space for you to discuss your own ethical scenarios with our ethical evaluation expert. If you do attend the session, then please think if there is a particular ethics issue you want to discuss before the session. There will be time during the session to discuss these and you are welcome to email us the details of your issue/ question so we can prepare.
By the end of this session you will:
- understand key ethical principles relevant when undertaking evaluations.
- know how to apply these ethical principles in evaluations.
- feel more confident to address ethical issues when undertaking evaluations.
- be aware of the different sources of support and guidance you can access to help address ethical issues.
