Join Social Care Wales for a practical and accessible event series designed to help you better understand and use evaluation in health and social care research. This training will help you use evaluation for learning, improvement and to better demonstrate the impact of your work.

Using a story of change

Identifying the changes you want to make to people’s lives and collecting the right evidence to demonstrate the contribution you have made to those changes is very important, but also very difficult. This session will demonstrate how a story of change can be used to do just that, as well as providing an overview of the tools and techniques that might be used to measure those changes.

By the end of this session you will:

• understand the value of using a story of change to plan your projects and evaluate their impact.
• have greater awareness of some practical tools to develop and measure outcomes.
• have the knowledge to develop a story of change understand how a story of change can help in commissioning external evaluations.
• understand how a story of change can help commission external evaluations.
