Join a lunchtime webinar to find out more about the UKRI MRC's Clinical Academic Research Partnerships (CARP) funding scheme
What is the UKRI MRC CARP scheme?
- The UKRI MRC runs a scheme for registered healthcare professionals to apply for funded time to form a collaborative research partnership with established leading biomedical and applied health researchers.
- You can apply for 20-50% of salary for 1-3 years, plus project costs.
- 2023 applications open in August and close in November.
Can I apply?
Full details are online, but essentially, the scheme is aimed at registered healthcare professionals who:
- have a PhD, MD or equivalent
- are working at a senior level
- have limited or no research time funded.
Could I be a research partner?
- Applicants must have at least one research partner.
- If you have a proven track record of securing funding and delivering high-quality research, you could be a co-applicant.
The Wales Cancer Research Centre has organised a lunchtime webinar where potential applicants and research partners can hear from:
- Monica Busse, Director of Health and Care Research Wales Faculty, about how personal awards could support your career
- Samantha Moore, UKRI MRC scheme representative, about eligibility and what the panel will be looking for.
