Are you a Healthcare Scientist in Wales? Are you keen to collaborate and share both challenges and ideas with colleagues across Healthcare Science? Are you looking for where to go next in your career, or how to support your colleagues' development?
As the annual scientific conference for all Healthcare Scientists in NHS Wales, the Healthcare Science Cymru Conference aims to highlight the strength found through collaboration across our profession, along with sharing successes from our services, towards driving transformational change in the NHS.
Hosted by the National Healthcare Science Programme, the conference includes inspiring talks from speakers covering all areas of Healthcare Science, engaging workshops, research and improvement poster displays, and more.

Call for paper presentations:
Areas available for submission are:
- Scaling up – a project that has had an impact beyond your department and implemented nationally or across health boards in Wales
- Personlised healthcare – an initiative that will transform person-tailored healthcare
- Data and AI – a piece of work that involves data or artificial intelligence that has been used within service
- Evidence driven transformation – a piece of research that has changed ways of working.

Research poster awards – now open for submissions
Submissions are welcomed from all, including students and trainees.
Poster abstract submissions will be reviewed against the selection criteria for display at the Wales Health Science Conference in Cardiff, with each entered for one of three award categories.
- Research and Innovation
- Service Development
- Recognition of Trainee Scientists (this category welcomes submissions from those completing the PTP, STP and HSST programmes).

The winners will be announced at the conference on 7 March 2024.
