Wrexham talks: Active Travel
Travelling in physically active ways, like walking and cycling, can bring many benefits, but what are the realities of implementing 'Active Travel'? Research undertaken with public health teams in Greater Manchester has informed Active Travel policies, and this lecture will outline various implementation issues and how they might be experienced by health professionals, public officers, and residents, across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Most of us are attached to the convenience of having a car. Creating user-friendly cycle paths in cities is often costly. How do we overcome the many barriers to planning and implementing Active Travel?
