Faculty member Esther Goodhew named new Bevan Fellow

22 February

Esther Goodhew, a Health and Care Research Wales Faculty Member, has been selected as a 2024 Bevan Fellow among 19 other health and care professionals across Wales.

Bevan Fellows are outstanding health and care professionals who are dedicated to transforming Welsh health services through innovative projects. The Fellows will engage in a two-year period to improve health and care services across Wales with events, mentoring and peer support.

Esther said: “I welcome the opportunity to discuss the development of current ideas to make our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service sustainable, ultimately enabling individuals within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board with long-term neurological conditions to feel empowered to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.”

Esther's achievement follows that of another Faculty member, Peter Cnudde, a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been a Bevan Fellow since 2022. Peter’s professional interests include big data and register research and health economics.
