Have your say on our Discover Your Role 2.0 action plan for future public involvement
21 October
Health and Care Research Wales has released a draft action plan outlining the key steps to improve public involvement in research as part of our Discover Your Role 2.0.
The plan, shaped through collaborative workshops with community members, aims to address barriers to public involvement and create a more inclusive and accessible research environment.
The draft action plan outlines a series of activities and initiatives aimed at actively involving the public, increasing awareness of research opportunities and improving communication between researchers and the public.
We would like you, members of the public as well as researchers and academics, to provide feedback on this document before we finalise the plan. Your input will help ensure the plan’s goals are clear, the right concerns are addressed and improve its overall effectiveness.
Peter Gee, Senior Public Involvement Manager at Health and Care Research Wales, said:
"We believe that public involvement is essential for conducting relevant and impactful research.
"By working together with the community, we can identify and overcome challenges that may be preventing people from getting involved in research."
