New Call Open: Revised Support and Delivery Learning and Development Scheme 2023

Applications for the 2023 Learning and Development Scheme are now closed

In response to feedback from Support and Delivery (S&D) staff, the Learning and Development Scheme has broadened its eligibility criteria to include all role-related training and professional development opportunities.

The types of courses able to be funded include undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, Leadership and Management courses, and any other courses deemed relevant and appropriate to S&D staff. These will be split into three streams covering master’s level courses, Professional Development courses provided by the University of South Wales (USW) and any other specialist role-related training. More information can be found in the guidance.

The Professional Development courses will be provided by USW, who have agreed to run information sessions on Friday 17 February for staff who are considering applying for one of the courses. These sessions will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the content and requirements of the course and ask any questions to ensure it is suitable for your needs. In addition, an exciting development enables staff applying to undertake a master’s in Research degree or equivalent master’s-level research training in applied health and social care the opportunity to apply for up to 0.2 whole time equivalent time for the duration of their course to support the completion of their studies. 

All successful applicants will also receive automatic membership to the Health and Care Research Wales Faculty.
