Research grant collaboration agreement published
4 September
The R&D Forum Contracts Group has developed the template Research Grant Collaboration Agreement. The contract has been endorsed by the Four Nations Contracting Leads, which includes representatives from the Health Research Authority and devolved administrations.
The template is now published on the IRAS website. We recommend it is used between academic and NHS / HSC organisations which have jointly received funding and are collaborating on a research project taking place in the NHS / HSC.
The template is designed to complement the suite of existing Brunswick agreement templates on the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA) website and model non-commercial agreement templates on the IRAS website.
If your study is being grant funded by NIHR, there are optional clauses to choose, and alternative optional clauses which can be selected instead for other funders, as appropriate.
The aim of this template is to help speed up and streamline contracting on research collaborations. It does not replace the model non-commercial agreement (mNCA), organisation information document (OID) or other template agreements which are between the sponsor and participating NHS / HSC organisations.
Feedback and queries on the Research Grant Collaboration Agreement can be shared with the R&D Forum Contracts Group at info@rdforum.org.uk.
