Biography
Anwen Cope is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Dental Public Health at Cardiff University's School of Dentistry. She holds a Masters (2018) and PhD (2015) in Public Health. She is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Dental Public Health and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health.
Her research principally focuses on the implementation of evidence into clinical practice. She has interest in the following areas:
• Integration of evidence-based care in General Dental Services
• Antibiotic use for dental problems
• Shared decision making
• Impact of poverty on oral health
During her career she has won the TC White Lecture Award of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2017), the Roger Anderson Poster Prize of the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (2015 and 2017) and the TC White Young Researcher Award of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2015).
