Joint Specialty Lead for Ear, Nose and Throat

Mr Andrew Hall undertook surgical training in London developing an active research portfolio including development of the UK Ear, Nose and Throat trainee research collaborative as a founding member and receiving the Royal Society of Medicine Laryngology and Rhinology Research Prize in 2017. He undertook further sub-specialty fellowship training and clinical research in both Sydney and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

In 2018, Andrew was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons grant to support research in medical simulation at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and is focused on integrating innovation and research as part of his role as simulation and clinical skills lead for Cardiff and Vale University Health board. He is research lead for the UK Young Auditory Implanters Forum and Principal Investigator on a number of portfolio clinical research studies, including a randomised control trial in cochlear implantation.
