Background information

Researchers are trying to understand how parents help to prevent safety issues from happening to their child within general practice, for example, spotting a prescription is incorrect, or chasing a delayed referral, and highlighting this to the practice.

The research team at Cardiff University want to use this information to identify ways medical care for children can be improved, particularly through the actions and support of parents/guardians/caregivers.

What is required?

The research team would like you to attend an in-person workshop to discuss the results of the study.  They would like you to share your thoughts on the results and how they can be shared with the public.

The workshop will last two hours.

What reward is offered for taking part?

The study team will:

  • Offer a £50.00 voucher for attending the workshop.

For those in receipt of state benefit confidential advice is available via the Benefits Advice Service for Involvement.

As a registered member of the community, you will also have access to support from the Communications, Engagement and Involvement team and the Health and Care Research Wales training programme.

What further support is available?

You will be supported by a member of the research team who will provide information about the workshop.
