Head of Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the establishment of a new Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) within the Council, which will help address health inequalities through building research evidence around the wider determinants of health.   

The Council has secured funding from the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) to establish this new and innovative Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC). The Head of Health Determinants Research Collaboration will be working with teams across the Council, University of South Wales, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB), third sector partners and the community. 

The post holder will oversee, plan, organise and communicate the start-up and ongoing functions of the Torfaen HDRC programmes and ensure the NIHR reporting requirements are met. They will coordinate and support the multi-disciplinary teams within the collaboration.
