More information

LEGACY Wales is a five-year programme exploring lymph node immune responses to improve preventive treatments.

The research will develop very specialist, individual methods of performing ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations – when a doctor puts a very fine needle into a body part like a lymph node and withdraws some cells into a syringe to help diagnose abnormal tissue.

This research could boost preventative treatments and therapies and will also bring clinical research opportunities to patients and people living in Wales.

What will I be asked to do?

You will provide feedback on research ideas, share experiences with research participation or views on immunity to help researchers produce participant-facing documents.

You may also need to prepare for one hour prior to the meeting by reading and reviewing documents.

How long will I be needed for?

You will need to attend one initial meeting (2 hours) with quarterly meetings for up to five years if the project is funded.
