Help researchers find out how effective COVID-19 public health messaging was
Would you like to get involved in an interesting project investigating the effectiveness of COVID-19 public health messaging?
Researchers at the University of Nottingham are looking for members of the public, particularly black and ethnic minorities, to work with the team in developing a project which is inclusive and encourages participation by people from a wide range of communities and backgrounds.
By getting involved you'll be part of a panel of members of the public, called a Public Involvement Panel. Your role will be to make sure that research documents and the study results are easy to understand. Meetings of the panel will be held online.
The research will investigate how the design of public health messages about the Coronavirus can affect:
- people’s understanding of the messages
- how they respond to it on an individual level
- what this understanding and behaviour mean on a population level and whether the messages are effective for promoting public health initiatives in response to COVID-19.
By the end of the project researchers would like to understand what language people understand and respond to most effectively and ultimately how we can design public health messages for maximum public health benefit.
