Biography

Sara James is an Research Capacity Building Collaboration Wales (RCBC Wales) funded First Into Research candidate. She is using correlative and visual elicitation methodologies to explore whether the current waiting time target for providing access to Outpatient Musculoskeletal Therapies is effectively measuring the quality of access to these services, and whether this aligns with the lived experience of wait.  
 

Sara has been growing her research experience since 2018, by participating in research on the ground as well as successfully applying for various research awards. Her passion is demonstrating the power of lived experience in informing system change, through insights of all pertinent stakeholders. She aspires to commit to exploring access in the domain of musculoskeletal outpatients, with an aim to influence the optimisation of access provision in a current and future healthcare model. She is also keen to contribute towards the collaboration between clinical and academic settings by encouraging a research rich environment within the clinical settings that she works.
