Meet the Wolfson Centre

The Wolfson Centre for Young People's Mental Health opened in October 2020 at Cardiff University and aims to achieve transformational change in the way the challenges of adolescent mental health are understood and how they are addressed.

The ambition is a step-change in scientific discoveries over the next five years that will rapidly inform policy and practice, and act as a catalyst in the field of youth anxiety and depression.

The Wolfson Centre online event will mark the year anniversary of the Centre’s opening, coinciding with World Mental Health Day, and will feature an interactive lecture from Professor Anita Thapar as well as video messages from the Centre's global scientific partners, funders, Welsh Government and young people themselves.
