Biography

Aisling Pigott is a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian based in Cardiff and Vale Universtiy Health Board. She is a PhD student at Cardiff Metropolitan Universtiy: Her research is exploring the lived experience of Type 1 diabetes and disordered eating to inform the development of an intervention embedded within structured education. Aisling is an active member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), as Journal club coordinator for the Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Group. She is a media spokesperson, and was awarded spokesperson of the year 2020. She is a graduate from Diabetes UK Introduction to Leadership and BDA Future Leaders Programmes.
