UK Standards for Public Involvement

Better public involvement for better health and social care research.

The UK Standards for Public Involvement were developed through a UK-wide partnership over three years. They aim to improve how the public is involved in research by promoting good practices like flexibility, knowledge-sharing and respect.

These standards are for everyone involved in health and social care research. They have been tested by over 40 individuals, groups and organisations during a year-long pilot programme. Following these standards provides guidance and reassurance to achieve the best possible public involvement practices.

Visit the UK Standards for Public Involvement website for more information.
