Research and Innovation Support Officer (Non Clinical) - Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to funding.

The Clinical Directorate is delighted to be recruiting a Research and Innovation (RI) Support Officer (Non Clinical). The position will support the management of RI projects and trials within the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST).
The post holder will be directly accountable to the Assistant Director of Research and Innovation and will work closely with RI paramedics. They will be expected to liaise with other staff within the Trust and externally with RI teams, Health and Care Research Wales, Clinical Trials Units, Universities, hospitals and industry partners.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and changing environment, providing RI Support to major initiatives across the directorate and wider organisation.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain high standards of Research and Innovation governance and coordinate and contribute to supporting the management of RI projects and trials within the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST).
- Operate efficiently and effectively to smoothly co-ordinate the day-to-day project management arrangements and functioning of projects and trials with Chief and Principal Investigators (C/PIs).
- Provide excellent administrative support within the RI department.
- Be a point of contact for a wide range of enquiries relating to Research and Innovation within the Trust.
- The transition of RI projects from their development through to approvals and delivery.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
